Cuban Heel Boots from Martin Margiela's 2007 Fall Menswear Presentation
These boots are a welcomed surprise within the designer's oeuvre. Famously known for his contextualization of strong reference points, Margiela turned his eye towards cuban boots of the 60's and 70's. In this interpretation, the designer has rendered the shoes in an incredibly interesting red and blue pattern that utilizes two separate leathers sewn into each other. The silhouette is distinct, not only in relation to Margiela's body of work but also in their shape, look, and feel.
