An easily recognizable staple of Martin Margiela's 2001-02 production. These boots are constructed of a rugged yet beautiful burnished suede. It sports its patina wonderfully throughout the exterior.
The shape of the boot emulates its references of 1970's campus boots through a slimming of the shaft and toe box. Margiela leans into the peculiarities and uniqueness of construction as there are interesting details that shift the appearance of the shoe. For instance, the outsole of the shoe hangs a bit further off the back then would normally be applied allowing for a unique look. A YKK zipper functions as the primary closure for the boot opening into the lined interior. This pair has been coated with an industrial paint with the intention of crackling over time as the wearer continues to experience them. A beautiful piece of Margiela history.
