HELMUT LANG 1999 COATED BLACK DENIM TYPE III JACKET
A rare garment from the 1999 production of Helmut Lang. This piece is superficially treated with a wax coating that provides both a functional and decorative element. The wax also reinforces the jacket, making it more rugged and structured. Lang referenced and further modernized the famous Levi's Type III denim jacket for this piece. The silhouette is form fitting yet with enough ease to move about comfortably. Silver hardware is found throughout the garment with a total of ten buttons. Six are utilized for the central closure, two buttons accompany each of the exterior pockets found on the chest, and another two buttons can be found at the sleeve openings. Also featured are the corresponding pair of Coated Black Denim pants.
