Incredibly rare denim chore jacket from Helmut Lang's 1996 production with GTR. As commonly associated with garments made during this era, exceptional quality of construction and material are evident throughout. Furthermore, this garment is of distinction as it is extremely uncommon to find this iteration of denim jacket within Helmut Lang's oeuvre. Normally, the designer would reproduce his denim jackets taking inspiration from Type II jackets or rendering them in his famous one pocket denim. This presents a welcome departure from his baseline, as this piece draws clear inspiration from vintage French Chore jackets, of which Helmut then added his own additions to.
Considering the age of the jacket, it is in excellent condition. Though do note that there are small markings that can be found in the denim. Please review the pictures provided.
